Block E, which is the section of the site north of Somerleyton Passage to the TfL substation, is privately owned. Lambeth Council has been in discussions with the owner regarding purchase of the site for some time. Sadly, earlier this year Lambeth’s Planning Committee gave permission for the current owner to develop the site. This will make it harder for the project to purchase this land and deliver some of the key project objectives. Many of the community uses will be in Block E.
